Why Wellness?
During the pandemic, taking care of both our mental and physical health became more important than ever. Breathing exercises, in particular, help to manage stress and anxiety, offering a simple way to feel more grounded. Deep breathing can calm the nervous system, reduce tension, and improve focus and energy. In such uncertain times, small practices like these provided a way to feel more in control and connected to ourselves.
Breathing and Wellness
Breath work is an important element of health and wellness. Inhaling for a count of four, holding for seven, and exhaling for eight encourages deep, rhythmic breaths that can calm the nervous system and enhance mental clarity. Incorporating 4-7-8 Breathing into daily routines can lead to better sleep and reduced anxiety.
Details
This watch is centered around intentionality. From the inverted crystal, meant to mimic a worry stone, to the nato strap. Worry stones are usually polished crystals used for fidgeting to reduce anxiety. The watch has a double dome glass crystal installed upside down; this provides a similar experience to a worry stone. It’s recommended to perform the 4-7-8 breathing technique 4 times, the same number of times it is printed on the watch face. Additionally, the seconds hand is double sided, meaning the end user can start their breathing without needing to wait.
